For the Spring 2015 cycle, twelve (12) awards totaling $555,568.52 were funded by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP). Of the those proposals funded, five (5) will have an annual sustainability fund impact of $74,271.90 (average $14,854.38/project). Interestingly, this cycle, three (3) of the five (5) "sustainable" projects were SMART Classrooms/TEC rooms and the remaining were network/wireless infrastructure projects.  SMART Classrooms and TEC rooms continue to be very popular with our students.

The highest rated (by the STEP Council in rank order H-L) proposals for the cycle included: Bourgeois Hall Wireless Access Upgrade, University Computing Support Services Redundant Computing Environment, Technology for Cell and Molecular Biology Teaching Laboratory, Mouton Hall Smart Classroom Technology Enhancement (Phase 2), and A SMART Classroom in Chemistry.  Funded grant scores ranged from (H-L) 88.89 to 73.61 with an average score of 79.51. Other interesting awards included: TEC Classrooms for Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), Raman Spectroscopy in Chemistry Labs, Laptops for TEC Classrooms for Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), New PSYC Instructional, Testing, & Experimental Lab Upgrade, Revitalization Undergraduate Physics Labs Phase II, Maternal-Child Learning Lab High-Fidelity Simulator: Enhancement of the Department of Nursing Learning Resource Center, and an Anthropology STEP Lab Enhancement.  The following table and graph illustrate this cycle's awards by College/Division and budget by category:
