Mon, 08/07/2017 - 3:51pmFor the Spring 2013 cycle, nineteen (19) awards totaling $376,812.60 were funded by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP). Of the those proposals funded, five (5) will have an annual sustainability fund impact of $33,034.10 (average $6,606.82/project).
The highest rated (by the STEP Council in rank order H-L) proposals for the cycle included: Zimbra Hardware Upgrades, Retention Technology Grant, Career Counseling Center STEP Renewal Grant, Laptop Computers for Chemistry Lectures, and Readabout.me Student Recognition Program Renewal. Funded grant scores ranged from (H-L) 81.52 to 61.79. Other interesting awards included: Osmomotry in Biology Laboratories; Edith Garland Dupré Library: Charging Stations for Laptops & Mobile Devices; Hands-on microscopy training in upper-level biology courses; EE Electronics Laboratory; Enhancement of the Integrated Systems Technology Laboratory; Replace Aging Robotics Equipment; and SMART/TEC Classrooms in Moody, Mouton, Fletcher, Maxim Doucet and Griffin Halls..
