Fall 2013 STEP Awards Announced
Mon, 08/07/2017 - 3:52pmFor the Fall 2013 cycle, nineteen (19) awards totaling $388,931.83 were funded by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP). Of the those proposals funded, eight (8) will have an annual sustainability fund impact of $44,002.84 (average $5,500.36/project). Interestingly, this cycle, seven (7) of the eight (8) "sustainable" projects were SMART Classrooms/TEC rooms.
The highest rated (by the STEP Council in rank order H-L) proposals for the cycle included: Projector Replacement For English Department Computer Classroom H.L. Griffin 307, Edith Garland Dupré Library: Promoting Interaction and Collaboration, Computer replacement for Anatomy and Physiology, Wireless Service Redundancy, and Technology Enhancement, Graphic Design Studio. Funded grant scores ranged from (H-L) 63.13 to 47.41. Other interesting awards included: Steam Laboratory Repair and Upgrade, Building Information Modeling (BIM) Center, Revitalization of Physics Department’s Undergraduate Labs and Classrooms, COBA Instructional Lab Replacement, and Honors Program Technology Up-grade.
