Mon, 08/07/2017 - 3:51pmFor the Fall 2012 cycle, twenty-two (22) awards totaling $507,373.80 were funded by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Technology Enhancement Program (STEP). Of the those proposals funded, seven (7) will have an annual sustainability fund impact of $40,100.00 (average $5,728.57/project).
The highest rated (by the STEP Council in rank order H-L) proposals for the cycle included: Critical Replacement of Computers for ENGL Labs, Computer Server Equipment, SMART Classrooms in Chemistry, BRAINFUSE Online Tutoring Grant, Installation of Smart Classroom Podium in Clyde L. Rougeau Hall Rm 332, and EK Long UWIN Network. Funded grant scores ranged from (H-L) 83.65 to 64.90. Other interesting awards included: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for Undergraduate Students: School of Computing and Informatics, Hands-on Science Tools, Network Computer Algebra System Licenses for Mathematics Classroom Lab, A High-Speed Camera to Visualize and Analyze Very Rapid Motions, and The UL Coastal Sustainability Studio: A Student Research and Instruction Lab for Interdisciplinary Education.
